International airport "Kazan" is the air gate of the World Summer Universiade 2013.
Today, the international airport "Kazan" is under global reconstruction work. By 2013 the airport's capacity will reach 1,200 people/hour, and will be able to accept any type of aircraft. Airport's annual capacity will rise to 2.2 million passengers. The level of comfort and passenger service will also increase. In addition, the airport will be equipped to meet the needs of disabled people.
