"The fight was hard. Lost four points, but then managed to win by a miracle. Believed in myself, plus the audience helped me. Only, perhaps, because of the audience support I was able to win. Thanks to the fans, they really helped me. Sambo is not that spectacular sport, and for me it was the first time to see such a support, "- Kuchumov told to the agency R-Sport. According to the Russian sambist, the medal of the Universiade is the "most valuable" in his collection. "I would like, of course, more. But while this is the most significant medal, the most hard-won, so to speak. I made lots of efforts to win it, very seriously preparing for the tournament, because on our homeland we had to show our sport in all its best" – Kuchumov said.
