Sambo. Results of tournament

On July 16 the concluding day of sambo events took place at the 27th Summer University Games in Kazan.

The victory among women in the up to 48 kg weight category is Yelena Bondareva of Russia, who defeated the Ukrainian Olena Kunytska in the final bout.  Bronze medalists of the Games are Maria Guedez of Venezuela and Chantsaldulam Jagvaral of Mongolia.

The gold of the women’s up to 60 kg weight category was captured by the Russian athlete Yana Kostenko.  Silver was taken by the Ukrainian Olena Sayko.  Bronze went to Polona Lampe of Slovenia and Azhar Kenbeil of Kazakhstan.

Japan’s Rui Takahashi proved the strongest in the up to 72 kg women’s weight category.  The silver medal belongs to the Russian Zhanara Kusanova; bronze – to Mongolia’s Munkhtsetseg, Otgon and Turkmenistan’s Nursoltan Ashyrova.

In the up to 52 kg weight category among men victory went to the Armenian Tigran Kirakosyan.  Beimbet Kanzhanov of Kazakhstan won the silver medal.  Bronze medallists are Vasiliy Karaulov of Russia and Aghasif Samadov of Azerbaijan.

Denis Davydov of Russia won the gold medal in the up to 68 kg men’s weight category.  The Belarusian athlete Aliaksandr Koksha placed second.  Bronze winners of the 2013 Universiade are Martin Ivanov of Bulgaria and Emil Hasanov of Azerbaijan.

In the up to 90 kg men’s weight category the Russian athlete Pavel Rumyantsev defeated Tajikistan's Komronshoh Ustopiriyon in the final bout.  Bronze was captured by Nikola Milosevic of Serbia and Sukhrob Ostonayev of Uzbekistan.

Among the women in the up to 56 kg weight category victory went to Anastasiia Arkhipava of Belarusia, who won the final bout against Laure Fournier of France.  Bronze medallists are Amarjargal Tumurbaatar of Mongolia and Gergana Vatsova of Bulgaria.

In the up to 68 kg women’s weight category the gold medal was captured by the Russian Marina Mokhnatkina, who achieved a final victory of the Ukrainian Luiza Gainutdinova.  The Italian Giulia Aragozzini and Kazakhstani Dildash Kuryshbayeva won bronze.

In the over 80 kg women’s weight category the Russian Anastasia Kovyazina came out strongest.  The silver medal belongs to Samantha Dacunha Kessler of Argentina.  Bronze winners in this category are Belarusia's Katsiaryna Kaliuzhnaya and Japan’s Haruka Murase.

Victory among men in the up to 62 kg weight category went to the Russian Ilya Khlybov.  The Kazakhstani athlete Bagdat Zharylgassov won silver.  Artiom Nacu of Moldova and Artur Te of Kyrgyzstan became bronze medallists.

The gold medal of the up to 82 kg men’s weight category was captured by Russia’s Sergey Kiruchin. Athlete from Georgia, Niko Kutsia, took second place.  The bronze winners of the 2013 Universiade are Tsimafei Yemelyanau of Belarusia and Mher Karapetyan of Armenia.

The Russian athlete Aleksandr Kuchumov became the victor of the over 100 kg men’s weight category.  Razmik Tonoyan of Ukraine captured second place.  Bronze medals went to the Lithuanian Zilvinas Zabarskas and the Armenian Hakob Arakelyan.

Anna Kharitonova of Russia won the up to 52 kg women’s weight category, after defeating Ukraine’s Linna Cherniak in the final bout.  Bronze medallists are Gulbadam Babamuratova of Turkmenistan and Fangfang Chen of China.

In the up to 64 kg weight category gold was captured by Alice Hester Schlesinger of Israel.  Silver was taken by Belarusia's Tatsiana Tokts.  Bronze winners are Akane Ikuta of Japan and Gulnar Hayytbayeva of Turkmenistan. 

The strongest in the up to 80 kg women’s weight category was Japan’s Shori Hamada.  The silver medallist is Dzhurova Tereza of Bulgaria.  Bronze was taken by the Russian sambo wrestler Irina Alekseeva and Mongolia’s Nyamtuya Nyamkhuu.

Victory among the men in the up to 57 kg weight category belongs to the Russian athlete Aymergen Atkunov.  Maral-erdene Chimeddorj from Mongolia won silver.  Bronze medals went to the Ukrainian Mykhailo Ilytchuk and Azerbaijani Islam Gasumov.

In the up to 74 kg men’s weight category gold was captured by Russia’s Uali Kurzhev.  The Japanese athlete Kota Eto took second place.  Bronze winners of the 2013 Universiade are Nusratishokh Imomov of Tajikistan and Alejandro Clara of Argenitina.

The Belarusian athlete Mikalai Matsko won the up to 100 kg men’s weight category competition.  In the final bout he defeated Peter Paltchik of Israel.  Bronze was captured by Dmitriy Eliseev of Russia and Mykhailo Cherkasov of Ukraine.

The sambo competitions took place between July 14 and July 16 in the Tatneft Arena.  The Russia national team, with 16 medals total, 12 of them gold, garnered the most awards in the competitions.  Two gold medals each were captured by the national teams of Belarusia and Japan.
