Water polo player Ivanova: There was no easy final game at Universiade

The team captain Evgeniya Ivanova stated to the sports ahency R-Sport that Hungarian water polo players became not an easy rival for the Russian team in the Universiade final.

On Tuesday women' team of Russia in water polo won gold medals defeated the Hungarian team in the final with the score 18:11.

"Competitor fought confidently, they have a good throwing technique. Rough struggle, there was no easy game. Hungarians are distinguished by rough and dirty play. Great thanks to judges who didn't let us to get involved in a fight with them, gave removals, and we tried to compete them," Ivanova said. The water polo player added that the Russian team tried to play in its usual style, but sometimes there were mistakes. We try to play in defence, then, follow the direction of the game, and play in attack. Tried to play without faults, but it is impossible: it is the team kind of sport, and you can't guarantee the actions of each player. We played roughly, coolly and confidently enough," the Russian stated to R-Sport.
