Zemfira will sing at Universiade Closing Ceremony which will be attended by Medvedev

A solemn Univesiade Closing will take place on Wednesday in the evening in the capital of Tatarstan at the Kazan Arena Stadium.

Organisers of the University Games refuse to disclose details of the holiday but promise that the performance will be grandiose and will not yield in any way to the opening ceremony which was held on July 6 and shocked the imagination of many spectaculars.

The director's crew called the Closing Ceremony 'The Party where Dreams Come True'. A feature of the show will be the performance of popular Russian and foreign artists – spectaculars will be entertained by songs of Garik Sukachev, Sergey Lazarev, Nyusha, Timur Rodrigez, Elmira Kalimullina, Dina Garipova, Yolka, as well as groups Zdob si Zdub, Bi-2, Kasta, Mumiy Troll and Serebro. The ceremony will be finished by the performance of the singer Zemfira.

For participation in the ceremony the prime-minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev flied to Kazan. It is planned that on the last day of the Universiade the head of the government will visit a number of sport competitions and one of the new stations of Kazan metro. As promised by the executive director of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Universiade 2013 Igor Sivov, the final show will be filled with a lot of memorable episodes, and everyone who wishes may participate in it because in the course of the ceremony users of social networks will be involved into it.

Along with the traditional parade of athletes will be a parade of volunteers, 20,000 of who were involved to work at the University.

All tickets to the closing ceremony are already sold but those who wish to attend it do not yield and are ready, despite all warnings of the Universiade organization committee, to purchase tickets from subpurchasers. “There are no tickets for the closing ceremony. – said Sivov to the agency R-Sport. We have been purchasing them for a year already so they are nothing for a long time.  A lot of places were reserved, now our task is to sell them to people and enterprises that reserved them.

Those who among 45,000 happy men will appear at the Kazan Arena Stadium on Wednesday in the evening should not worry on how to get home after the end of the holiday. Spectaculars from the arena will be transported to their homes by 260 buses. Additionally 30 trams will run to the direction of “Solnechnyi gorod” and a railway station, and the work of Kazan metro will be prolonged from 00:00 till 03:00 on July 18. A solemn ceremony will begin on Wednesday at 21:30 MSK.
