"I'm glad to have won a medal, but the result is certainly weak. It must be admitted, and it's upsetting. At the European Championship (in two weeks in Croatia) I will also participate in this exercise, and now the result is not quite appropriate to that level. Slow shooting, did not work out. But I think it can be corrected. Here it was enough for the gold, but at the European Championship will not be enough for sure. I will be shooting there only on August 1, so I still have some time to practice for two weeks more," Ekimov said to the agency R-Sport. Ekimov who is the leader of the Russian team is not satisfied with himself. "When compared to the Universiade in Bangkok (2007), where I also participated, the result here in Kazan is very low for me. Today I have shown my results, and they are low. I just have such a small period of decline, and therefore I have such results. I have to go through this period," Ekimov said. "The Universiade gave our team a good experience, it displayed a lot. It showed that the Chinese team are also shaking and you can fight with them. Our athletes who have performed here, and now will go to the European Championship, received an important and fresh competitive experience; this will have a positive impact on performance," Ekimov concluded.

The Summer Universiade in Kazan will be completed on Wednesday.
