On Wednesday, the women’s team of Russia defeated Italy (30:10) in the final game at the Universiade in Kazan.

“Today, it was particularly difficult to defend. We all were very tired, and defending was more difficult than attacking, and the Italian players are really good in rucking, and it is very difficult to struggle with them and seize the ball, while they successfully suppress other players rucking," said Titova to the R-Sport agency after the match. The agency’s interviewee noted that the team of Pavel Baranovsky was satisfied with their victory. “We could have played better, if we hadn’t played four days successively. In rugby 7, playing so many games successively is difficult. However, of course, we are very happy. We are happy that we have finished at last. Now, we have forces not to run, but only to go somewhere to have a rest, meet our relatives and friends," she concluded.
