Maksim Sharafutdinov: I honestly believe that it will be our city that will host some next Summer Olympics

Maksim Sharafutdinov is the Russian journalist, the TV presenter on Channel One, the Ambassador of the 27th Summer Universiade 2013.

What impressions did Kazan and Universiade leave on you?

- The impressions are the most positive. What I really regret is that there was no such eagerness to sport in my studentship as it is nowadays. Due to the Universiade, Kazan is leading by all positions, including sport. I honestly believe that it will be our city that will host some next Summer Olympics.

What competition venues did you manage to visit?

- Taking into account that I currently take part in the TV Project Vyshka (Platform), where media personalities dive, get injured and do it just for the show, for the competitions with one another, I visited the diving events, watched how professional divers did it. I took diving quite differently, having known how difficult it was. Moreover, I got an absolutely different feeling of the site where these competitions were held. I was in several swimming pools, large enough, as well as in the diving zones, I saw how they operated, how they look from within, how to train there. The Aquatics Palace surpasses by all aspects all I have seen.

What is the mission of the Kazan 2013 Ambassadors?

- It's most likely that their mission is to promote a healthy lifestyle. That is, I demonstrate through personal example that a man, who is not a student long ago, who is over 30 years old, may begin to go in for sports, and his life is changing only for the better
