The intrigue in the team competitions will remain until the very last moment. However, in early April, during the Heads of Delegation Meeting, FISU and Kazan 2013 SU organisers will hold an official draw procedure for team events. After the draw the countries will find out who are the rivals in their groups and spectators will be able to plan out the attendance of team competitions in order to see their favourite teams in action. As we earlier reported, tickets for sporting events went on sale in 2012 on the website of Kassir.ru, the Official Ticket Operator of the Games, and at ticket offices in different cities all over Russia.

A total of 127 countries applied to compete at the 2013 Summer Universiade so far. As of today, the total number of entrants is around 12,000 people.
