The Central Stadium is the home venue for Rubin Football Club. In 2009-2010 the stadium hosted the UEFA Champions League matches. The venue serves as a competition venue for football championships of various size and scale and athletics events. The stadium includes 2 training halls, children’s gymnastics hall and aerobics halls. The Central Stadium Track and Field Hall was opened in August 2007. The venue is used as a training ground for Tatarstan’s athletics team and allows to stage summer sport competitions and train top class athletes all year round.
